What is this blog about?

(updated 2/09/15)

Our Personal Journey was born on May 18th, 2013

First of all I would like to say thank you for visiting this blog.  It means a lot to me and I hope it will mean a lot to you.  The purpose behind this blog is not to be just my story, but to be about your story too.  It is about the transformation of mind, body and spirit.  By that I mean learning how to become a better me and you.  Originally it was a blog that just dealt with my health journey.  But that is just a part of who I am and only part of my journey.  Which lead me to create other blogs to focus on the other parts of me.  And that was the beginning of the “Our Personal Journey Family”.  Again this is and will always be “Our Personal Journey”, so I want to feature you the reader as much as possible.  I will like to always keep the “Other People’s Journey“, which is a part of the blog where you get to tell your story and also get the chance to inspire people.  I also would like to create discussions.  So I would really appreciate all comments and participation.  I also might create or feature comments as a blog post if I believe it can help or create more discussion.  As we create discussion, I ask that you keep the following in mind.  Everyone is different and unique.  What might be a stumbling block to one might be easy for another.  Also what worked for you might not be the only way for it to work for someone else.  Our focus is trying to promote a positive change, not bring down someone else.  Let us encourage, and challenge each other.  That is why my personal journey means nothing, but our personal change means everything.  It is the journey that matters, and if you will join me it will be one fantastic journey.  So lets start this journey together.  And for the first time in this blog I will say.

And the journey continues……

  1. Good for you, I’m taking this journey myself and it’s absolutely a soul journey more than anything else. I look forward to following along!

I love that this is about lifestyle change and not “a diet…” the mere act of saying “I am on a diet” puts untold pressure and food stress and all sorts of wierdness in your (and by your I mean my) head…changing the way you eat however is a positive step 😀
I look forward to following you 🙂

Thank you Ice, You are exactly right. Diets are short and don’t last and you gain back the weight because you didn’t change anything.

I’ve gone through a lot of changes in this life, and the journey is always worth the effort! May you have success in all you strive to do!

I myself lost over 70lbs 8 years ago, as well as going through other changes, and I am so thankful I did it, and that I continue to live a healthy life.

The only thing I wished was that the frequency of the post was longer. It has been hard keeping up with every post and I am far behind now. but other than that it is great and I have enjoyed it.

  6. Greetings from the professor!

  8. Hi John 🙂 Thank you for visiting my humble abode, I must apologize for not being here earlier, for some reason I completely missed you. It took reading your response to a blog on THE PROBLEM WITH CHRISTIANITY to get me here.
I love the angle and concept of your our place here and mind, body and spirit in unison is the most complete we humans will ever be.
I’m going to feel right at home here.

    • John says:

Well thank you so much and it doesn’t matter when you got here as long as you got here, lol. I hope you feel right at home. Mi Casa, Su Casa. 🙂

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I’ve enjoyed your posts and I look forward to reading more.

  10. John, I wrote a response to you but I wanted to make sure you got it. I fully agreed with your comment and my response was about other commenters that misread my post and were therefore taking it in far right directions. Thanks for the comments as always and have a good weekend! -OM
